Confession Times
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is offered at the following times each week:
Tuesday: 6:00-6:45pm
Saturday: 4:00-4:45pm
Confessions are also available by appointment. Please contact the parish office to arrange a time with the priest.
What is the Sacrament of Reconciliation?
The Sacrament of Reconciliation, also known as Confession or Penance, is the sacrament through which we receive God’s mercy and forgiveness for our sins. Through the ministry of the priest, we are reconciled with God and the church, experience Christ’s healing love, and are strengthened to live as faithful disciples.
Who is Reconciliation for?
All baptized Catholics who have reached the age of reason (typically around 7 years old) are encouraged to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation regularly. Catholics are required to confess serious (mortal) sins at least once a year, but frequent confession is a beautiful way to grow in holiness, receive God’s grace, and deepen our relationship with Christ.
Preparing for your First Reconciliation
Children normally prepare for First Reconciliation during Grade 2 as part of their faith formation before receiving First Holy Communion. Children attending public or private schools are also welcome to prepare through the parish’s sacramental preparation program.
If you have been away from the sacrament for many years, or have questions about returning to Confession, please do not hesitate to contact the parish office or speak with the priest. Everyone is always welcome.
