Baptism

What is Baptism?
Baptism is the first sacrament of Christian initiation and the foundation of the Christian life. Through Baptism, we are freed from sin, become children of God, and are welcomed into the Church. Is is through this sacrament that our lifelong journey y of faith begins.

Who is Baptism for?
Infants and young children are baptized through the faith of their parents and godparents, who promise to raise them in the Catholic faith.
Older children and adults who have not yet been baptized are warmly welcomed and will receive age-appropriate preparation through OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults) before celebrating the sacrament.

Scheduling a Baptism
Families wishing to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism are asked to contact the parish office to arrange a meeting with the priest. During this meeting, you will discuss the preparation process, choose a suitable date for the baptism, and have an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

For more information please see our Frequently Asked Questions page.

We look forward to welcoming you and your family as you begin this beautiful journey of faith.
